For Sister pt.3

Again we have orange as the main color in this piece made for my sister Jen. It is a kumihimo rope made from 7 strands of seed beads. Finished with pewter bead caps and gold plated wire and a toggle clasp. I use the Diva Custom Cord Maker, from fibergoddess.net. I love making these, I just get lazy sometimes and need a nudge to get started again.

For Sister pt. 2

They call them cha-cha bracelets, I call them too much work! lol
I made this one for my sister Jen, she is fond of orange so I had fun searching for orange beads because I normally do not buy them. It took me WAY too long to finish this one. I had planned to make myself one and now I think I won't. It is a fun bracelet to wear, and makes a nice amount of noise when jiggled.

For Sister

I made this one for my sister Jen, on April 16th. There is one similar I made for myself that I will post later. Lampwork beads are from Austin Hamiltion. Crystals are from a vendor at Gemfaire. Strung on 49 strand Accuflex from Fire Mountain Gems. She has a fondness for orange and these were alot of fun to play with.

So Blue

I believe this is the first piece I made for my Grandmother. It was for Christmas in '03 if my memory is still working. It is made from lampwork beads and czech fire polished beads with sterling spacers. The matching bracelet was made later on and is made from lampwork beads by the same person who made them for the necklace. The beads were made on a hothead torch so they had these neat streaks of reddish brown in them. She wore them very often and told me that she got many compliments. She'd tell everyone I made them for her =)

Rue's Jewels

This is the crown and choker I was hired to make for a renissance style wedding. The bride looked just like a Queen from a fairytale. It was alot of fun planning but the making was a challenge. I had not taken any wire working classes at all at this point so I had to work it out on the fly. I swore I would never ever make another, but it has been long enough that I want to make a set for myself now. =)

Lampwork and Pewter

These are lampwork beads that I made a couple of years ago. The photo doesn't do the colors justice. The purple is much warmer in person. Here they look very blue/purple. The spacer beads are pewter and the clasp is magnetic. It still needs a safety chain so it will stop jumping off my wrist to stick to the shopping cart and car door. =)

For Meggie

This is a charm bracelet that I made for a dear friend. It was for her 18th birthday if I recall correctly. Her favorite color is blue, so I included as many blue things as I could. It was a blast to make, and I wish the photo was of higher quality. But bad light and a cell phone camera were what I had to work with so... >.<
Maybe I can convince her to supply me with a new and improved photo lol.

Sea Horse King

This is the Sea Horse King necklace I made for my Grandmother. It is a kumihimo rope made from size 15 true cuts. It is adorned with biwa stick pearls and pewter charms. The pendant is also pewter and came from Michaels craft store. I liked it so much I went back and got a couple more pendants so I can make it in a couple of colors.

Greetings

This is my first attempt at a blog. My plan is to use it as a means to share my addictions with the world. =) I lay the blame with Jo and her awesome blog! It will contain pictures of things I have made, things my mother has made, and photos of nature that grabbed my attention.

I hope you enjoy and comments are always welcome.
